PTSD is a panic that never lets up, and its symptoms include hypervigilance, nightmares, and flashbacks. Phobia: A phobia is more like GAD but only for a particular object, event or activity. It is also common for the object of fear to have no danger associated with it. Fear of animals and heights are some of the most common phobias.
